The Quebec Foundation for the Blind
The Quebec Foundation for the Blind assists people who live with a visual deficiency and have many real and pressing needs. Its mandate is to aid the blind and partially sighted by providing counselling and helping them lead the most autonomous and active lifestyle possible, whether it’s in terms of housing, recreational activities or community life.

The MIRA Foundation is totally dedicated to helping disabled individuals by teaming them with dogs bred and fully trained to respond to their adaptation and rehabilitation needs. All of MIRA’s services are made available free of charge to individuals with one or many visual or motor disabilities, and to children presenting Pervasive Development Disorders such as autism.

Association des établissements de réadaptation en déficience physique du Québec
AERDPQ (Association des établissements de réadaptation en déficience physique du Québec) is Quebec’s association of rehabilitation establishments for the physically impaired. It brings together 21 health and social services establishments with facilities in 108 locations across the province.

The Allowance for Special Needs Program is intended for you if you have a major functional disability or another recognized disability. It provides financial assistance for the various types of support required to offset the effects of your disability and enable you to pursue your studies at an educational institution or at home.

Emploi Québec : assistance for Persons with Disabilities
Do you have a disability? Are you looking to enter the labour market? The Contrat d’intégration au travail (CIT) (French only) measure (employment integration contract), was designed to encourage employers to hire you. In addition to a wage subsidy, your future employer could receive financial assistance to help with adapting your work environment to your specific needs.

Bibliothèque et Archives nationales du Québec (BAnQ) offers all Quebecers with perceptual disabilities the Service québécois du livre adapté (SQLA). The SQLA is part of a range of services for persons with disabilities.

The Sports and Leisure Association for the Blind (ASLPA)
The Sports and Leisure Association for the Blind (ASLPA) was created by a group of blind, visually impaired, and fully sighted sports enthusiasts to organise and promote sports and leisure activities especially designed and fully adapted for blind and visually impaired people.
